The time has come: the 15th Optatec is ready for take-off.

Optatec Internationale Fachmesse für optische Technologien, Komponenten und Systeme presseinfo 05 uai

The 15th Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems is ready for take-off and will welcome expert visitors in Frankfurt from the 18th through the 20th of October, 2022. Experts, manufacturers and users of optotechnology and image processing meet here at a world-class, highly specialized, superlative event. The large percentage of exhibitors from outside of Germany underscores the significance of this leading trade fair.

With high levels of internationalism, the 15th Optatec international trade fair for optical technologies, components and systems will open its doors in Frankfurt in precisely one week. 235 exhibitors will provide a comprehensive impression of worldwide offerings for products, stand-alone and system solutions, as well as for optotechnology applications including optical components, optomechanics, optoelectronics, fibre-optics, fibre-optic cables, laser components and manufacturing systems on roughly 4500 square metres of floor space in hall 8. 48.3% of the exhibitors come from outside of Germany, once again substantiating the high levels of international significance of this event organised by trade fair promoters P. E. Schall. Despite travel restrictions which are still in effect in many places, twelve exhibitors will be coming from China, nine from the USA, eight from France and seven from Great Britain.

Exclusive Optotechnology Industry Meet

“Optatec is small but impressive, and highly specialised,” says Project Manager Fabian Krüger in summarising the character of this world-class trade fair in Frankfurt. Production, quality assurance and manufacturing managers, as well as system integrators, have long awaited the next edition of Optatec, which has established itself widely as a key trade fair for optotechnology and image processing. Exhibitors and visitors benefit from the event’s thematic exclusiveness, its high levels of professional orientation and its precise targeting of specific groups.

Optotechnology and image processing are two of the most promising future fields of endeavour and are becoming more and more important in all industrial and non-industrial sectors. They play an increasingly important role in many areas of life. By no means will expert visitors want to miss out on the new products and solutions, as well as new application opportunities. Increasing levels of automation, the proliferation of autonomous systems and increasingly stringent quality requirements in many sectors are driving the optical technologies – new developments in photonics, biophotonics, photovoltaics and image processing are thus being eagerly awaited.

Expert visitors from the fields of robotics and automation technology, laser technology, the automotive industry, aviation and aerospace, medical technology and medical imaging, as well as lighting technology, will meet at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre in hall 8, which is at ground level and can be conveniently reached via direct suburban railway connection. Once again this year, university representatives will organise the “Education & Research” technology park, which ensures a concrete transfer of knowledge from research to routine daily operations. With their proven practice-oriented concept, the trade fair promoters ensure direct, pragmatic user benefits, thus providing implementable solution options for practical, operational implementation.
