Product Compliance Officer / Manager (f/m/d) - Export
To support our efforts within the European Market, Edmund Optics in Mainz is looking for a Product Compliance Officer / Manager (f/m/d) - Export
This highly skilled and experienced position reports directly to the Director of Corporate Compliance.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for European Export processes and transactions involving tangible as well as intangible goods under consideration of applicable US export implications
- Specifying, revising and/or creating export compliance related tools, procedures, manuals, training materials, and/or work instructions if necessary
- Classifying products according to applicable European and US export regulations and ensure compliance throughout the process, from feasibility and quoting to order and delivery
- Reviewing quotes/orders to ensure that proper classification is assigned
- Contributing pro-actively to Global Compliance efforts
- Liaison between Compliance, Product Line Management and Sales
- Interpreting various local and global regulatory rules and/or rule changes to assess regional impact and support proper communication through corporate policies and procedures
- Coordinating product evaluation to ensure additional regulatory product compliance
Your profile:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in position related subjects or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years regulatory compliance-related work experience
- Understanding of high-tech products and industries, e.g. semiconductor, electronics, telecoms etc.
- Knowledge of German (and ideally US) import/export regulations, experience in additional export or customs regulations is a plus
- PC literacy in Excel, Word, Power Point
- Excellent organization, analytical, implementation, communication and presentation skills
- Business fluent in German and English
