The 1310nm CW high-power 70mW/100mW laser is a proprietary product independently developed by Fujian Seedphotonics. It features a waveguide structure grown on an N-type InP substrate, comprising a multi-quantum well (MQW) active layer and a periodic grating. The device is designed for low threshold current, high slope efficiency and excellent high-temperature performance.
With core technologies developed in-house and outstanding performance metrics, the product is well suited for high-bandwidth silicon photonics applications. It has reached mass production, passed verification and been adopted by multiple downstream customers, and entered volume delivery with excellent test results.
Amid robust and growing demand for silicon photonics modules in data centers, AI clusters and other applications, together with tight supply of fundamental CW laser sources, Seedphotonics has secured a monthly production capacity of 5KK for 1310nm CW products leveraging its in-house manufacturing capacity with multiple MOCVD tools, to better support the rising demand from downstream customers.
Meanwhile, Seedphotonics’ higher-power products, including 200mW, 400mW and CWDM4 multi-wavelength devices, have entered the sampling and qualification phase, with excellent results from customer verification tests.
Specifically designed to meet the high-performance requirements of Co-packaged Optics (CPO) and silicon photonics applications, these products provide core light source solutions for next-generation data center optical interconnects and silicon photonic integration.
