Showcase of solutions for high-precision positioning, metrology & automation in optics and photonics
A key highlight is a large-scale gantry system designed for the precise alignment and microassembly of optical components. Combining long travel ranges with nanometer-precision positioning, it enables demanding applications such as the parallel alignment of fiber arrays, optical components, and wafers. The system integrates fast coarse positioning with ultra-precise fine alignment in a single setup.
Another focus is the modular P50 automation platform, presented as a scalable solution for automated microassembly processes. It provides a flexible foundation for efficient and reproducible assembly of complex optical systems.
Live demonstrations at the booth include high-precision fiber array alignment, a high-load SMARPOD offering six degrees of freedom (6-DoF) for flexible positioning, and a PICOSCALE-based setup enabling interferometric position measurement with picometer resolution.
Complementary metrology solutions such as the METIRIO® optical encoder, as well as compact optomechanical components, complete the system approach and enable stable, precise, and application-specific optical setups.
