Photonic Lattice birefringence measurement systems for evaluating VR headsets and polymer lenses
Photonic Lattice PA/WPA series measuring systems can be used to measure birefringence in transparent materials very quickly and simply.
The determination of polarization characteristics allows, for example,
- Evaluation of residual stresses in transparent components or
- Evaluation of the homogeneity of transparent coatings
From microscopic to macroscopic (~50cm), our systems can be adapted to many applications and measuring field sizes.
PA series allows the measurement of small phase differences from 0 - 130nm with an optical resolution of 5 megapixels. Suitable for analyzing transparent components made of glass or other materials with low phase differences, e.g. in the development and production of
- Glass (e.g. tempered glass, glass for vehicles)
- Optical glass components (e.g. lenses)
- Wafers (e.g. SiC, GaN)
WPA series has an expanded measuring range of 0 - 3500nm by determining the birefringence / phase difference over three different wavelengths. Suitable for transparent plastic objects, e.g. in the development and production of
- Polymer optical components
- Optical film
- Pancake lenses
The latest addition to the WPA series, the WPA-VR has been optimized for the evaluation of optical performance of VR/AR headsets.
